Blue Vector Systems Names John Beans Vice President of Marketing
Palo Alto, Calif. – April 18, 2006 – Blue Vector Systems, a rapidly growing provider of easy to deploy product and asset tracking systems for RFID and other sensors, today announced John Beans as its vice president of marketing. Beans brings with him 20 years of experience in high-tech marketing. In this role, Beans reports to the CEO, and is responsible for the development of Blue Vector’s market strategy and programs.
Most recently, Beans was vice president of marketing for both Datasweep and Camstar Systems, two leaders in the field of enterprise manufacturing execution systems. His previous experience includes positions at SBC Communications (now AT&T) and Bain & Company, a leading strategy consulting firm.
“We are very excited to have John join our growing team,” said Nancy Anderson, CEO of Blue Vector. “In addition to being a great strategist, he brings experience in targeting sophisticated technology at specific market segments, and clearly communicating the value of that technology to each segment.”
“I joined Blue Vector because its technology and products are exactly what the RFID market needs right now to really take off,” said Beans. “Blue Vector has developed a fantastic software architecture and embedded it in easy to deploy network appliances. They’ve deployed working production systems in a few days and really delighted customers who are used to a more traditional enterprise software and services approach.”
About Blue Vector Systems
Blue Vector’s founders, with previous experience at places like Xerox PARC and Yahoo, have developed an easy to deploy and massively scalable sensor management system that allows customers in retail, distribution, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and research settings to quickly deploy useful sensor networks — utilizing RFID, barcode, temperature, weight, and motion — to automatically and accurately monitor the movement and condition of products and assets. Easy to configure business rules allow the system to instantly respond according to a company’s own business rules, as well as to insure that information is ultimately deposited into core business applications, such as warehouse management or ERP systems.
